The City of Minneapolis Public Works Department would like to hear from you about the traffic calming demonstration project recently installed on 34th and 35th Avenues North. The purpose of this demonstration project is to test the use of low-cost materials to calm traffic in order to understand impacts and efficacy of these ‘temporary’ solutions. This demonstration project will be installed for roughly 2-3 months and will be replaced with concrete installations in Spring 2026. The hope is that by evaluating this project through the lens of the thoughts and perceptions of residents in the Cleveland Neighborhood, that future traffic calming demonstration projects will benefit from strategies to safe and comfortable walking and biking environments.
Your responses will help us understand how well the project meets these goals.
The project includes temporary traffic circles located at these intersections:
- Thomas Avenue North and 34th Avenue North
- Russell Avenue North and 34th Avenue North
- Sheridan Avenue North and 35th Avenue North
The survey should take about 5 minutes to complete. Your responses will remain confidential. Thank you for your time!
