• NDOT 2025 BIP Grant Survey

  • Background Information

The U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will award grants for the Bridge Investment Program (BIP) to support critical infrastructure projects across the country and upgrade bridges from critical or poor condition to good condition. BIP is a nationally competitive grant program.

This grant application is being done by the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) in conjunction with 9 counties and cities to rebuild 12 bridges in poor condition across the state. Replacing and upgrading these bridges would improve safety, increase communities’ connection, provide better access for freight and agricultural-related movement, and lead to economic growth.

This survey will give us insight into your views on the bridges, how you use the current structures, how it impacts your daily life, and your thoughts on potential wider, safer bridges that can carry heavier loads. The survey should take no more than 5 minutes to complete. If you select a bridge and need to select a different one, refresh the page. We appreciate your input!
