• 2027 Service Plan Survey

  • The 2027 Service Plan will focus on responding to changing ST Express ridership patterns, increased overnight maintenance needs of an expanded Link system, and preparing for the future transition of some ST Express routes to Stride bus rapid transit. To ensure Sound Transit continues providing our riders the best possible service as our system evolves, we want to hear from you about how these changes could affect your ride. Complete this 5-10-minute survey to let us know.

  • Transit Service Questions

  • In the last three months, how often did you ride ST Express and/or Link?
  • Do you ride any of the following ST Express and Link routes once a week or more? (Check all that apply)
  • How did you hear about this survey? (Check all that apply)
  • Routes 542 and 545

    Proposed Changes:

    • Add a stop on Route 545 at Downtown Redmond Station
    • Slightly more frequent service on Route 542
    • Minor service reductions to offset the changes on Route 545
  • When would you like to see Route 542 run more often?
  • To increase frequency on Route 542, we would need to decrease frequency on Route 545. If Route 545 were to run less often at certain times of day, when would be the least disruptive?
  • Route 560

Proposed Change: shorten Route 560 to Burien Transit Center

Route 560 would end at Burien Transit Center, no longer serving stops in West Seattle; however, frequency between Burien and Bellevue would increase:

    • Weekdays: Every 20 minutes (daytime), every 30 minutes (evenings)
    • Weekends: Every 30 minutes all day (double current service)

For trips between Westwood Village and Burien, King County Metro's RapidRide H Line serves all current Route 560 stops in this segment. The H Line runs every 7-15 minutes on weekdays and every 15 minutes on weekends.

  • Sound Transit service map showing the proposed elimination of Route 560 between Westwood Village and Burien.

  • Link Service

We are reviewing ways to get more time for conducting planned maintenance on the Link system overnight. Increasing routine maintenance time can help reduce unplanned disruptions. Even after the last passenger trip ends, crews still need time to return trains to storage, clear the tracks, and power down the system. Maintenance work begins after completing these steps.

Please tell us which days and times you use Link most often. Your input will help us improve maintenance scheduling and consider alternative service options that minimize issues for your travel.

  • Do you ride Link between 11:30 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. once a week or more?
  • What days of the week do you typically use Link after 11:30 p.m.? (Check all that apply)
  • What time between 11:30 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. do you typically start your journey?
  • What’s your destination for the trip you take most often during this time period?
  • Do you ride Link between 4:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. once a week or more?
  • What days of the week do you use Link before 5:30 a.m.? (Check all that apply)
  • What time before 5:30 a.m. do you typically start your journey?
  • What’s your destination for the trip you take most often during this time period?
  • Do you ride Link before 11:30 p.m. on Saturdays once a month or more?
  • Do you ride Link before 11:00 p.m. on Sundays once a month or more?
  • Rate the following items on a scale from 1 to 5, where 1 indicates "least disruptive" and 5 indicates "most disruptive." These strategies would be used to minimize impacts during maintenance that would prevent unplanned closures.
